Halfway down a quiet street branching off the main thoroughfare, a modest storefront sits nestled between a paper craft store and a small family restaurant. Polydegmon's Lapidary and Brew primarily offers a jeweller's services but it advertises a small selection of alchemy potions and reagents in the lower corner of the shop window as well.

Potion-making certainly isn't intended to be the primary business, judging by the interior: sturdy display boxes with locked, glass fronts showcase the owner's work. There are no price tags; interested parties are advised to enquire about individual pricing instead.

For the first month of opening, everything reeks of that 'new store' smell. But as time goes on, one finds an incense lingering in the air to cover a faint, musty stench of decay which clings most strongly to the shop's owner. It doesn't take long for word to get out that they're a Death mage. The store is much quieter after that but there yet remain some staunch regulars who return for the store's more practical brews.

Although the owner may not be immediately present, a dark dragon-like creature dozes in the corner.
One gets the sense that it has eyes on everyone who enters.

Besides the shop itself, there are living quarters above it which house Emet-Selch and his friend and partner, Hythlodaeus. A miqo'te (cat boy) known as Felih may also be seen from time to time.

Characters can commission Emet for custom jewellery, potions (subject to mod approval), and other miscellaneous alchemist business. There is a grimoire on a display stand near the counter which budding alchemists can peruse for spells he has already designed. Products may have a cost but knowledge is free.
