[ He looks them over. Most of them are impressively mundane. ]

We can share food as we drink. The rest are rather simple to achieve - I believe you used to do them to me on a daily basis.

[ Hythlodaeus can't quite hold back his laughter as he scans his own card again - not that he makes a great effort to hold back, mind you. ]

My, all of these? I do not recall taking a bath with you. Nor obeying your orders, if it comes to that.

Even if you never have, you are the sort who would climb into one without shame.

(OOC: I am too tired to format so back to prose we go.)

Hythlodaeus grins in response to the sigh - perhaps excessively so.

"What can I say? I have ever been open-minded."

"Which do you wish to do first then?" He hands the card back. "After drinks and food."

Turns out it was possible for Hyth's expression to become even more unbearably smug.

"Why, I wish to receive a pet name from the most eminent Emet-Selch, of course."

(Okay, he needs to get it together. He can't let Hythlodaeus have the upper hand like this.)

(...But it's clear from his long silence that he can't think of a pet name at all for the other man. Pet names just aren't his thing.)

Hythlodaeus waits, amused, but... Yes, nothing. He smiles, patting Emet on the shoulder - though some small part of him feels disappointed that he did not get a pet name. On the other hand, he was half-expecting Hades to settle on something like "blasted nuisance".

"Oh well, I suppose there are things even the Architect cannot do. I shall have to make do with my normal name."

The words snap him out of his thoughts. All at once he remembers: Hythlodaeus' face amongst a sea of other masks. He knew it had been them by the little smile they gave him for all others were focused on the Speaker's words. There had been no fear, no trepidation - only quiet determination to see their god made.

"What, is 'Daeus' not good enough for you?" he snaps in a sudden fit of irritation.

'Deus' - god.

Once again Hythlodaeus attributes the irritation to Hades's usual nature, giving the man another smile.

"Ah, the childhood friends angle? I never quite realized it was a pet name. But if so, I am very flattered!"

"If you like it then I see no reason to change it."

Now, where is that drink? He resumes his march towards the pool and bar building.

Hythlodaeus follows, his tread much easier than his friend's. He puts his hands behind his back, bending a little to give Hades a mischievous look.

"But I wonder if existing pet names count! If the task is to give or receive a new one... Should I come up with one for you?"

"I have a feeling you will think of one whether I tell you to or not. So let's hear it."

Just going to pretend he can't see Hythlodaeus' gremlin smile there.

Hythlodaeus hems and haws for a little while, dragging out the time - and then points a finger at Hades, grinning.

"Sculptor."

Because, you know, the Architect.

"Don't be ridiculous. I have never sculpted anything. Surely you have more imagination than that."

He's almost disappointed. What a boring suggestion, Hyth.
