The man recruited three of us to assist in 'reviving his dead brother', as he put it. He led us to some dank grave. In hindsight I should have suspected that the corpse he showed us could not possibly be his brother. It was far too rotten. In spite of my misgivings, I participated in the ritual to open a way for their soul to return. Yet in doing so, far more came through than we anticipated. The result was as you saw.

[The information is concerning. Reviving the dead isn't completely off-limits here, but apparently this time using that magic had a truly ominous catch.]

Do you remember the body's appearance, aside from the advanced rot? The Fisher King's body went missing after it was discovered, and he's carried a nasty curse on him since he was living and breathing.

I'm suggesting it as a strong possibility. Especially if that dank grave of yours was a fresh one. He was recently moved from his tomb.

Well, what's done is done. I had not planned to get involved in either matter, but now I am. I have already informed the king about it. And I have exacted vengeance on the one responsible already.
