The man recruited three of us to assist in 'reviving his dead brother', as he put it. He led us to some dank grave. In hindsight I should have suspected that the corpse he showed us could not possibly be his brother. It was far too rotten. In spite of my misgivings, I participated in the ritual to open a way for their soul to return. Yet in doing so, far more came through than we anticipated. The result was as you saw.

Do you remember the body's appearance, aside from the advanced rot? The Fisher King's body went missing after it was discovered, and he's carried a nasty curse on him since he was living and breathing.

Are you suggesting the man we revived was the Fisher King?

Damn it all... if only it hadn't been necessary to split my attention... but that sword is bound to be a problem, too.

[That's one less thing on his list of Things to Do.]
Though, given how people can be brought back from the dead here, I would like to know who the blighter is so I can...
[He trails off, feeling a weight sink into his consciousness, like a headache waiting to happen. He grits out the remaining portion of the sentence.]
...keep him monitored if someone does bring him back.
I'M SORRY I MISSED THIS NOTIF
[ And boy doesn't that run close to home... ]

[The word is spoken in a bitter, grumbling sigh.
This is going to be a continuing problem. He can feel it, like a migraine building in his skull.]
I have enough of that to deal with back home.

[He stops just long enough to let out another frustrated, emphatic sigh.]
It's a good thing I'm used to things going straight to hell.

[ A joke that he thinks no-one except those from his world can truly appreciate. ]

[What with the whole episode he had after the dragon was slain, though Walter had not made comment when it happened.]

If there was a hell, I would be sent straight to it for my transgressions.

If there is a hell, I'll keep you company?

[ The tone is gruff yet fond. ]
Speaking of whom, I hear him calling. Was there aught else you required?

Say hello to the fellow for me.
[Have a little wave.]

[ And with that vague sound of acknowledgement, he ends the call. ]
