Glimpsed it, perhaps, when someone pushes Hythlodaeus beyond even his immense patience. Glimpsed it again that first night when emotions ran high and closeted desire finally spilled over into open want. But now his friend is off the leash, so to speak - is this what they are truly like?

He is not being afforded any leeway. Hythlodaeus' fingers are wound tightly into his hair, with prickling pain accompanying even the slightest movement. Hades wraps his arms around his lover's back and dizzily surrenders to their direction. The taste of the spiced wine lingers on both their tongues.
