"Did you pick up the habit of such... rapid changes of subject from me? 'Tis quite disorienting to hear it from you."
Hythlodaeus's expression grows a little more serious, however, almost wistful as he gently combs through a lock of Hades's hair.
"And I believe you should already know the answer to the conditional. But what you should also know is that 'tis not sharing a bed with you that I wished for." Another sigh as he draws back slightly. "'Twas why I felt so hurt. For centuries upon centuries I knew that you only saw me as a friend, and to be offered mere physical connection over that... well. I think I needn't elaborate."
